About Tortured Soul

frank and mike started their first band along w/ our entire bands mutual friend bill krom. right from the beginning the trio seemed more interested in writing and recording new originals rather than playing what was being played on the radio, and three original songs later, 'icefall' was born. later to be known briefly as 'soulspeak'. time and distance seperated the original trio. years later frank met wojo, and sparks flew. add one guitarist and 'soulspeak' was re-born.
soulspeak underwent several transitions including at one point the addition of a second drummer/percussionist ((bill krom) aka sea hill-billy) a second guitarist mike d'axe, and a harminica/ backup vocalist(whom we're all still trying hard to forget).after making one album, the band split up...(but the c.d. rocks on)
...frank and wojo stayed in touch, and were always in touch w/ mike, and 2 years ago 'soulspeak' was re-born yet again. they were briefly known as big blind, and finally landed on TORTURED SOUL... over the years brushes w/ fame have came and went including opening up for acts like robin trower and big shot at the webster theatre in hartford, and sharing the same stages in n.y.c. that artists like aerosmith,alice n chains, bruce springsteen and countless others had played.
the trio,always hungry for self-improvment,and "the next step" actively sought out the hottest/rockinist chicks they could find,and are thrilled to formally announce the addition of it's two newest members, the very lovely and multi-talented heather thibeault and amy fratianni.the girls have added an entirely new flavor to the band, and helped expand their catalogue w/ some well known rockin cover tunes,and originals yet to be released.to date, the band has written over fifty originals, produced several c.d.s and is finishing up their fourth and in my opinion, best c.d. yet.
